History

Establishment

The Maldeira Cartel was formed shortly after the establishment of the Gulf Cartel. Giovanni Maldeira signed deals with a high amount of criminal organizations known as Plaza's in Mexico. He also signed deals with a high amount of corrupt businessmen. Shortly after Maldeira also started influencing politicians and various other high ranking people. Maldeira's Cartel grew to power swiftly primarily in Mexico. The influence commenced expanding to other regions as well such as Colombia and other regions in Middle America. After a few years the Maldeira Cartel controlled most of Middle America and South America except Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.

Giovanni Maldeira signed deals with various businessmen and leaders primarily in Mexico. Maldeira aligned himself with local drug producers such as Felix Gallardo, Ernesto Fonseca and Rafa Quintero. They started aligning themselves with various Mexican Plazas, local drug lords. Maldeira swiftly made deals with more businessmen from all over Mexico and Colombia. Colombia's drug trade was already growing immensely. Maldeira desired influence in the region and signed deals with the local growing drug producers.

In Mexico, Maldeira allowed Felix Gallardo to be second in command, making most of the deals.

Felix Gallardo invited a large amount of businessmen and drug producers to Guadalajara and aligned the cartel with the following businessmen: Pedro Aviles of Sinaloa, Pablo Acosta of Ojinaga, the Arellano Felix brothers from Tijuana, primarily Benjamin Arellano, Gabino Salcido from Mazatlan, Filemon Medina from Zacatecas and Rene Verdugo from Nogales. He also aligned the cartel with the local police forces and intelligence agencies.

Ernesto Fonseca brought his cousin, Amado Carillo also into the business. Rafael Aguilar was an associate of Amado and decided also to join the cartel. However, a dispute between Pedro Aviles and Pablo Acosta led to Acosta being kicked out of the organization by Pedro. This caused the other members to distance themselves from the organization. It was a large hit to Maldeira and Felix Gallardo. Felix Gallardo, who was in charge of bringing everyone together, was forcefully taken with Pedro after the meeting.

Pedro Aviles was planning on killing Felix Gallardo. However, Pedro was stopped by police. He was forced to step out of the car and together with his bodyguards they were shot. Only Felix Gallardo and the driver were not shot. Don Neto revealed he was in charge brought the cops, who belong to the DFS, a highly corrupt intelligence agency. They also served as secret police. Felix Gallardo shot the severely wounded Pedro Aviles, killing him.

The driver was also spared. He was revealed to be Joaquin Guzman, also known as El Chapo or just Chapo. Felix Gallardo spared Chapo and allowed him to work for the cartel. The death of Pedro Aviles caused the cartel to still be formed.

The Cartel started growing immensely after the formation of the cartel. Various plazas now worked together in Mexico. Felix Gallardo was put in charge of operations and diplomacy.

Colombia

After a few months, Felix Gallardo went to Colombia and met up with Miguel Orejuela, Chepe Santacruz and Pacho Herrera. Felix agreed to also start moving cocaine produced by the Cali group. The gentlemen of Cali, including Gilberto Orejuela as well, joined the Maldeira Cartel.

Local Colombian gangs were plotting against the gentlemen of Cali. However, with the increasing presence of Maldeira's forces in Colombia now, these gangs were suppressed. However, a rapidly growing gang in Medellin led by Pablo Escobar started rivalling the gentlemen of Cali. They didn't like the gentlemen of Cali working alongside the large Medellin Cartel.

Felix Gallardo was headed back to Mexico but was kidnapped by sicarios belonging to Pablo Escobar. He was brought to Pablo and they talked about Pablo's rivals, the gentlemen of Cali. Pablo didn't like the idea of the Cali Cartel having distributors and feared it would put him out of business. Felix Gallardo and Pablo Escobar eventually came to a compromise. Pablo Escobar would also become a member of the Maldeira Cartel, secretly moving the same amount of cocaine through Mexico as the Cali Cartel. The cocaine distribution would be evenly divided between the Medellin gang and gentlemen of Cali.

Tijuana Plaza

The Tijuana Plaza was led by Alberto Falcon and the Arellano Felix brothers. The Arellano joined the Maldeira Cartel, but Alberto Falcon wasn't keen on giving up his plaza for the cartel. He attempted forcing the Arellano Felix brothers and the entire Tijuana plaza out of the Maldeira Cartel. However, he failed to do so. Benjamin Arellano didn't want to kill Falcon.

He followed up by seizing a large amount of drugs from Rafa Quintero. It caused the start of a violent dispute between Falcon & the Tijuana Cartel and the Maldeira Cartel.

Maldeira ordered Don Neto to hire the Tijuana police department and seize the drugs that Falcon stole from Rafa. Don Neto, alongside Rafa, El Chapo, Benjamin Arellano and Ramon Arellano raided a warehouse where Falcon kept the seized drugs. They retrieved their lost drugs and kill the guards of the warehouse, who were also linked to Falcon.

Eventually, the Mexican army raided the place as well, causing a large gunfight to erupt. Don Neto was shot but survived. Alongside the others, they escaped the scene, though they lost the drugs again.

Eventually, he was forced to take a deal. The deal stated he would receive $10 million and 2% on all the profits that go through the Tijuana Plaza. However, directly after he made the deal he was arrested and killed.

Ruben Zuno

Ruben Zuno was a businessman who was a powerful figure. Felix Gallardo attempted to strike a deal with him, to get him to work alongside the cartel. Ruben Zuno took a long while, which frustrated Felix.

One of the Cartel's planes carrying $6 million was captured. It allowed Schutzstaffel forces to arrest one of Felix's bankers. The banker tricked Felix Gallardo into visiting him in the Germanic Zone of America. On the border, Schutzstaffel forces were waiting Felix up. However, at the border, Felix Gallardo was stopped at the border. Ruben Zuno contacted him there and accepted to work for the Maldeira Cartel. He also warned Felix to not cross the border. Felix returned and barely escaped arrest in Germania.

Guadalajara Meeting

Eventually, Felix Gallardo organized a meeting with some important leaders of the Maldeira Cartel. He changed the administration of the Maldeira Cartel around. Hector Palma was put in charge of Mazatlan. Amado was also put in charge of Juarez. The Tijuana plaza remained the same. Rafa Quintero was furious and left the meeting because of a long lasting dispute between Rafa and Amado.

Another member who was present at the meeting, Osuna Nava, was the director-general of the DFS. The DFS worked alongside the cartel. However, Nava was displeased with his payment. Maldeira saw Nava as ungrateful and ordered Felix Gallardo to kill him. That same day, Nava was killed in a hotel by Felix.

Field Capture

A large marijuana field belonging to Rafa Quintero was located and burned to the ground by police forces. It formed a large setback for the cartel, as it produced about a third of the Marijuana in the Germanic Zone of America and Neutral Zone.

Maldeira insisted on executing Rafa because of his setbacks and mistakes. Felix Gallardo pleaded for him to be allowed to live. Maldeira accepted after a brief argument with Felix. However, Rafa continued making mistakes. He was severely addicted to cocaine. Maldeira and Felix grew sick of him. However, Felix still did not want to kill Rafa.

Kiki Camarena

The new DFS director-general, Toribio Esparragoza, better known as El Azul, wanted to take revenge on the DEA agents who caused the field to be captured. He consulted Rafa and got his permission.

This was the tipping point for Maldeira and Felix. They went to confront Rafa after they heard of the situation from Don Neto. Rafa fled the country and Maldeira kicked him out of the cartel.

Kiki Camarena was severely tortured and eventually killed. It enraged Germanic officials. It caused a large amount of Schutzstaffel & DEA forces to be sent to Mexico. Braulio Castaneda, a major drug lord controlling Middle America allowed Rafa to escape.

The Black Hand

Giovanni Maldeira was severely annoyed with the failures of Rafa and the failure to capture him. Maldeira ordered Rafa to be killed. In the meantime, the DEA was attempting to take down Maldeira's cartel. In hopes of saving his collapsing cartel, Maldeira started negotiations with the Black Hand, an Italian Mafia organization. Primarily the Changretta Family started aligning with Maldeira. They sent large platoons of Mafiosi and Changretta family members and other Italian Mafia leaders took high ranking positions. The Hispanic leaders were kicked from their high ranking positions and replaced with Italians. This caused large disputes.

Eventually, Felix Gallardo was replaced by Luca Changretta whilst Ernesto Fonseca was replaced by Frederico Changretta. Felix and Ernesto gathered a large amount of members and conspired against Maldeira.

In Colombia various gangs and cartels started rising up against Maldeira's rule. Maldeira sent Vito Changretta and Arnold Rothstein to manage Colombia. However, local drug lords such as Jose Gacha rose up against Maldeira and sent assassins to both Vito and Arnold. Both assassination attempts were unsuccessful, but it showed the Italians & Maldeira the Hispanics were not satisfied with the Italians taking over high ranking positions in the cartel.

Vito Changretta and Arnold Rothstein swiftly fled Colombia.
