The Confederacy of Independent Systems, abbreviated as CIS, or known as the Separatist Alliance, Separatist State, Separatist Coalition or Separatist Confederacy, is a large organization. It was formed by several groups, including the Trade Federation, the Techno Union, the Stalgasin Hive and the Intergalactic Banking Clan.

History

Establishment

The CIS was established prior to the Clone Wars. The founding members included representatives of several organizations which desire wealth and recognition.

Geonosian Accord

The Geonosian Accord took place around 71-72 AFR. It took place on Geonosis, hosted by Poggle the Lesser, the archduke of the Stalgasin Hive. In this accord, Poggle the Lesser united Geonosis by annexing the last independent Hive, the Gehenbar Hive, led by Typtus the First. Following the unification of Geonosis, Poggle and Typtus united their forces.

Following the unification, Count Dooku, known as Darth Tyranus, met up with several representatives of some corporations. The first founding members included Dooku himself, as well as Poggle the Lesser of Geonosis, Viceroy Nute Gunray of the Trade Federation, Foreman Wat Tambor, of the Techno Union and Chairman San Hill, of the Intergalactic Banking Clan. These five leaders established the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

A few days later, the Krodalyn Hordes under their King Krogo, and the Intergalactic Kyrillian Embassy under their Grand Vizier Orren the Unblooded, joined the Confederacy as well.
