The rank Kriegsleiter is a rank of high importance in the Germanic military. It is the highest rank of the Wehrmacht. The Kriegsleiter can act in war without the Führer's permission, but the Führer still has the permission to depose the current Kriegsleiter. The only officer to receive this rank is Rudolf Riefenstein.
