Gran Jaguar

The Gran Jaguar is a large Mayan temple also known as Templo I. It is located in Tikal, in the Third Phase.

A temple possibly based on the Gran Jaguar, created in Meztli (Second Phase)

It is believed that the Gran Jaguar is has abilities similar to the Mayan phase temple, which ended the Second Phase. However, there is little evidence to support this claim.

The Gran Jaguar is the tallest Mesoamerican temple in the world. It is also situated in the largest Sacred Precinct in the world, being slightly larger than the sacred precinct of Tenochtitlan. Furthermore, it is situated in Tikal, largest city in the world.
