History
Early Days
Adolf Hitler was born on the 20th of April 1889 in Austria. Hitler had a rough childhood, being humiliated by his father. He had a close relationship with his mother. However, both of his parents would pass away when Adolf Hitler was still relatively young. Hitler tried getting into art school. He was rejected and had no job. He eventually moved to Munich, though still struggling with getting enough money.
In 1914, the Great War, also known as World War 1 (Abbreviation WW1 or WWI) had started. Adolf Hitler applied to become a soldier in the German army. He fought on the Western Front, primarily in Belgium and France. Hitler served as a messenger, delivering communications between headquarters and the front lines. He participated in several major battles, including the Battle of the Somme and the Battle of Ypres. He was wounded twice during the war, once in 1916 and again in 1918, receiving the Iron Cross for bravery.
In 1918, World War 1 had come to an end, much to the disliking of Hitler, since Germany had surrendered. After the war, Hitler immediately applied for the post war German military. He worked for an intelligence unit. He was tasked with investigating several Socialist and Communist organizations. At one point, Hitler would investigate the rather Anti-Semitic DAP (Abbreviation for "German Workers' Party"). Hitler became increasingly involved with this party and would eventually join it.
After joining the DAP, Hitler would become more involved with the Anti-Semitic ideas and eventually even became the leader of the DAP. The DAP would become more violent towards other political parties.
