Autodefensas or the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia, or AUC, in Spanish) is a highly aggressive far right military organization known for vigilantism and combat against communist guerrillas. Eventually, in an alliance with the Cali Cartel and Cartel de la Sierra, Autodefensas forms Los Pepes and fights the Medellin Cartel, led by Pablo Escobar.
