The Germanic group, SS-Begleitkommando des Führers, is a branch of the Schutzstaffel, aimed to protect the Führer. The Ehrenführer, Franz Sauer, leads the group. Though the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers is also known to protect other high ranking Germanic officials. This was first the task of the Reichssicherheitsdienst (RSD). However, the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers absorbed the Reichssicherheitsdienst and therefore gained all its privileges and tasks. So though it might be confusing, the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers is not specifically to protect the Führer, but to protect numerous high ranking Germanic officials.
Often members of the SS-Begleitkommando with the same rank as someone in the regular Schutzstaffel have more privileges than the regular Schutzstaffel member. It is unclear why. A clear example is Klaus Schuetze, who seems to have more privileges than other people with the same rank as Schuetze, being Obersturmbannführer.
Notable Members
Franz Sauer
The SS-Begleitkommando des Führers consists out of only few members. The leading commander is Franz Sauer, an Ehrenführer. He is not extremely active in the group. He is not present much with the Führers either. Instead, he tends to grow more hate towards the Führers, because Sauer constantly becomes a potential Stellvertretender Kanzler but does not actually become it.
Heinrich Himmler
Though the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers is controlled by Franz Sauer, the whole SS-Begleitkommando is a smaller organization of the much larger Schutzstaffel, which is lead by Heinrich Himmler. Heinrich Himmler does in fact hold control over the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers, but seems to let Sauer do most of the work.
Klaus Schuetze
Klaus Schuetze is a high ranking Germanic officer which is a member of the Schutzstaffel and the SS-Begleitkommando des Führers. He is the officer reporting to the Führer directly most of the time and carrying out tasks ordered by the Führer directly.
